Employee Relations Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations Specialist to join a well‑established organisation in Leeds during a period of rapid change and growth. You will act as the go‑to advisor on all employee relations matters, partnering closely with senior leaders and managers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage complex ER cases, including disciplinary, grievance, absence and capability issues.
• Provide expert guidance on employment law, policies and procedures.
• Lead TUPE projects from initiation through completion.
• Support ACAS early conciliation and Employment Tribunal proceedings.
• Assist with organisational change, restructures and redundancy consultations.
• Coach and develop managers to improve people‑management capability.
• Analyse trends and deliver HR reporting to senior stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience in HR or Employee Relations with strong case‑management skills.
• Hands‑on experience of TUPE transfers, consultations and organisational change.
• Familiarity with ACAS processes and Employment Tribunal procedures.
• Current knowledge of UK employment legislation.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing abilities.
• CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) and a confident, resilient approach.
