Employee Relations Specialist – South UK (Field-Based)

About the role

We are partnering with a leading UK business to find an Employee Relations Specialist for their growing People team. The role combines complex employee relations work with broader engagement, wellbeing and culture initiatives across the South West of England. You will act as a trusted advisor to managers and stakeholders, ensuring legal compliance and a positive employee experience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert advice and guidance on complex Employee Relations matters.
• Support managers with disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance‑related cases.
• Review and develop HR policies and procedures in line with employment legislation.
• Support Employee Engagement, Wellbeing, Diversity & Inclusion and Reward initiatives.
• Deliver ER training and coaching to managers and HR teams.
• Manage Employment Tribunal cases and liaise with external legal partners.
• Analyse ER data and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Provide on‑site support for escalated ER matters across the business when required.

Required profile

• Strong Employee Relations experience within a fast‑paced or multi‑site environment.
• Experience managing complex ER cases from start to finish, including Employment Tribunal case management.
• Knowledge of Trade Union relationships and dispute resolution.
• Experience creating and delivering ER training.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Highly organised, resilient and commercially minded.
• Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel.
