Employment Adviser – Support Long-Term Unemployed

About the role

We are looking for an Employment Adviser to join our team in Colchester, helping long‑term unemployed individuals secure sustainable work. You will deliver one‑to‑one guidance, develop personalised action plans and promote the Restart Scheme within the local community.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of jobseekers, identify barriers and create tailored action plans.
• Provide one‑to‑one support including CV writing, interview preparation and skills development.
• Meet performance targets and KPIs set by the employability division.
• Engage with local employers to source job opportunities.
• Refer participants to internal and external services for health, housing or financial issues.
• Raise awareness of the Restart Scheme in the community.
