Employment Advisor – Community Support

About the role

You will be trained as an IPS Employment Specialist and work in the community to help people with health conditions or disabilities return to work. The role is based in one of several London boroughs and involves hot‑desking across partner sites such as Job Centres, Council Offices and NHS Trusts. You will enjoy flexible days out in the community with a modest coffee‑shop budget.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of around 25 participants, providing tailored employment support.
• Work closely with local employers to create suitable job opportunities.
• Deliver support across partner sites, hot‑desking as required.
• Meet agreed targets and maintain an up‑to‑date diary of activities.
• Participate in full training programmes, including online learning, shadowing and hands‑on guidance.

Required profile

• Previous experience as an Employment Advisor, or in a sales‑focused role such as recruitment or B2B sales.
• Experience supporting vulnerable clients to achieve goals, or relevant voluntary work.
• Ability to work to targets and manage your own diary.
• Residence within an hour’s travel to one of the listed boroughs.
• Graduates with relevant experience are welcome to apply.

What we offer

• Permanent, full‑time contract (Monday‑Friday, 9am‑5pm).
• Salary range £32,000‑£35,000 per year, dependent on experience.
