Employment Consultant – IPS Specialist (Graduate)

About the role

This permanent, full‑time position supports a national charity in helping people with mental health conditions, disabilities and other barriers secure sustainable employment. The role is community‑based, covering areas such as Hillingdon, Brent and Ealing, and involves working with Job Centres, NHS services and local partners.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with job seekers, employers and community partners.
• Motivate individuals, understand their employment goals and develop personalised action plans.
• Deliver the IPS Employment Specialist training and apply it in day‑to‑day support.
• Manage a personal diary, track progress against targets and report outcomes.
• Travel between community sites, including Job Centres, council offices and NHS locations.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months experience in B2B sales, recruitment, account management or business development.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Comfortable working towards targets and managing own schedule.
• Genuine interest in mental health, employability or the charity sector.
• Degree‑level education preferred.

• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to organise, stay resilient and work independently.
