About the role

Richard Nelson LLP is seeking an experienced Employment Solicitor to join its growing Employment Law team. The role offers a hybrid working model (Nottingham or remote) and involves representing both employees and employers across a wide range of sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of employment matters from inception to conclusion.
• Draft legal documents, policies, settlement agreements and correspondence.
• Conduct legal research and provide commercially sound advice.
• Represent clients in disputes, grievances, tribunals and advisory hearings.
• Maintain high professional standards and cost‑effective work practices.
• Utilise time‑recording systems and IT tools efficiently.
• Contribute to business development and the firm’s reputation.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with solid experience in employment law, particularly claimant matters.
• Proven ability to handle complex cases for professionals in regulated sectors (e.g., teachers, doctors, nurses).
• Strong analytical, communication and advocacy skills.
• Commitment to the firm’s values of integrity, expertise and tenacity.
