Employment Lawyer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Employment Lawyer to join a leading Legal 500 firm in Liverpool. The role offers hybrid and flexible working, allowing you to shape the employment law service locally while collaborating with HR, health & safety and technology teams.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on disciplinary, grievance, performance management and capability matters.
• Manage tribunal claims, including drafting responses, case strategy, bundles and representation.
• Draft and review employment contracts, policies and handbooks.
• Support restructuring, redundancies, TUPE and business transfers.
• Contribute to corporate workstreams such as due diligence, mergers and acquisitions.
• Deliver training, webinars and client workshops.
• Assist with business development and client relationship building.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with a solid foundation in employment law and HR advisory.
• Experience handling tribunal work or a strong interest in developing litigation skills.
• Excellent drafting, analytical and communication abilities.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Commercial awareness and a client‑first mindset.
• Confidence in networking and business development activities.
