Employment Services Advisor – IPS Specialist (Temporary)

About the role

An NHS organisation in West London is seeking experienced IPS Employment Specialists to support a service expansion programme on a 3‑4 month interim contract. The role involves delivering employment support using the Individual Placement & Support model, working across multiple boroughs and engaging with local employers.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver employment support in line with the Individual Placement & Support (IPS) model.
• Manage a caseload of clients with mental health needs, supporting them into and within paid employment.
• Provide practical support including CV writing, interview preparation, job searching and career guidance.
• Build and maintain relationships with local employers to identify suitable opportunities for service users.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary mental health teams to support recovery‑focused care plans.
• Liaise with external agencies such as Jobcentre Plus, training providers and community organisations.
• Maintain accurate records and outcome reporting in line with IPS standards and service requirements.

Required profile

• IPS Employment Specialist experience and IPS training with a strong understanding of IPS principles.
• Ability to quickly establish a productive caseload and work independently.
• Experience supporting individuals into employment and engaging with employers.
• Strong communication, relationship‑building and organisational skills.
• Ability to work flexibly across multiple locations within West London.
