Employment Solicitor – 3+ PQE (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Employment Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join our growing Exeter team. The role offers a mix of contentious and non‑contentious work for a diverse client base of employers and employees, with hybrid working flexibility.

Key responsibilities

• Advise employers and employees on a wide range of employment law issues.
• Draft and review employment contracts, staff handbooks and HR policies.
• Prepare service agreements for directors and senior executives.
• Negotiate and draft settlement agreements and restrictive covenants.
• Manage employment aspects of business sales, acquisitions and TUPE transfers.
• Support restructuring, redundancy and disciplinary processes.
• Represent clients in Employment Tribunal and Court proceedings, handling claims such as unfair dismissal, discrimination and breach of contract.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor or chartered legal executive with a minimum of 3 years post‑qualification experience.
• Experience in both contentious and non‑contentious employment matters.
• Strong client‑facing skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload.
