Employment Solicitor – 5+ PQE – Leeds

About the role

An established full‑service law firm in Leeds is seeking an experienced Employment Solicitor to join its growing Employment department. You will work closely with the Managing Director, handling a diverse caseload of both contentious and non‑contentious matters.

Key responsibilities

• Manage employment law cases from instruction through to completion, including unfair dismissal, discrimination, redundancy and settlement agreements.
• Provide advice to both employer and employee clients on contracts, HR policies, tribunal proceedings and workplace issues.
• Oversee a dedicated paralegal or trainee and utilise modern case‑management systems.
• Develop relationships with local businesses and HR professionals to support department growth.

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in employment law.
• Proven ability to handle a broad employment law caseload independently.
• Strong client‑care and communication skills with the capacity to meet competing deadlines.
• Willingness to mentor junior colleagues and contribute to business development.

Required skills

• Experience using case‑management systems.
