Employment Solicitor – Glasgow (Hybrid)

About the role

G2 Legal Limited is seeking an experienced Employment Solicitor to join its Glasgow office. The position offers a hybrid working model and a balanced mix of contentious and non‑contentious work across a varied client base.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on employment disputes, including unfair dismissal, discrimination, whistleblowing and breach of contract claims.
• Prepare and defend Employment Tribunal proceedings, including hearings and judicial mediations.
• Provide practical guidance on disciplinary, grievance, absence management and workplace policies.
• Support transactional matters such as M&A, due diligence and TUPE.
• Draft and review employment contracts, consultancy agreements and NXD appointments.
• Advise on restructures, redundancies, settlement agreements and negotiated exits.
• Collaborate with dispute‑resolution colleagues on restrictive covenants and post‑termination issues.
• Deliver client training, webinars and thought‑leadership content.

Required profile

• Established experience in employment law, ideally at associate level.
• Proven track record handling both contentious and non‑contentious matters.
• Solid knowledge of employment and discrimination legislation.
• Experience of tribunal litigation and advocacy support.
• Commercial, solutions‑focused approach to client work.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
