Employment Solicitor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Employment Solicitor to join our client’s team in Leeds. You will provide clear, practical, and commercially focused legal advice across a wide range of employment matters.

Key responsibilities

• Meet and interview clients to assess suitability for legal advice.
• Take client instructions and advise on legal issues.
• Draft legal documents, correspondence and contracts tailored to client needs.
• Conduct legal research and analyse case law.
• Ensure accuracy of advice and compliance with procedures.
• Negotiate with clients, opposing parties and other professionals.
• Prepare matters for hearings, negotiations or settlement discussions.
• Coordinate work of all parties involved in legal matters.
• Correspond with clients, opposing solicitors and third parties.
• Attend meetings, negotiations and court where required.
• Supervise and delegate work to trainee solicitors and paralegals.
• Monitor implementation of legal agreements and keep up to date with legal developments.
