Employment Solicitor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Employment Solicitor to join our growing employment law team at Richard Nelson LLP. The position involves representing both employees and employers across a variety of sectors, with a particular focus on claimant matters, and can be performed on a hybrid basis in Nottingham or remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of employment matters from inception to conclusion.
• Draft legal documents, policies, and correspondence.
• Conduct legal research and provide commercially sound advice.
• Represent clients in disputes, grievances, settlement agreements, advisory tribunals, and advocacy matters.
• Maintain high professional standards and cost‑effective work practices.
• Utilise time‑recording systems and IT tools efficiently.
• Provide training to junior team members as required.
• Contribute to business development and promotion of the firm’s employment law services.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with solid experience in employment law.
• Proven ability to manage a diverse caseload and deliver effective client representation.
• Strong research, drafting, and advocacy skills.
• Commitment to maintaining the firm’s high standards of professionalism and client service.
