Employment Solicitor

About the role

We are partnering with a respected regional law firm to recruit an Employment Solicitor for its Leeds office. The role offers autonomy, high‑quality instructions and the chance to work on a balanced mix of claimant and respondent employment matters.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of employment issues for both businesses and individuals.
• Provide day‑to‑day HR and employment law advice to employers.
• Handle disciplinary, grievance, capability and redundancy matters.
• Draft and review contracts of employment, policies and staff handbooks.
• Lead Employment Tribunal claims from inception to resolution.
• Advise employees on discrimination, whistleblowing and unfair dismissal claims.
• Support business development and maintain strong client relationships.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales.
• Proven experience handling a broad employment law caseload.
• Strong knowledge of current employment legislation and tribunal procedures.
• Excellent communication and client‑care abilities.
• Ability to work independently on a busy, varied workload.
• Commercial, proactive and solutions‑focused mindset.
