Employment Solicitor (Junior) – Bristol

About the role

A well‑established national law firm is seeking a junior Employment Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join its growing Employment team in Bristol. You will manage your own caseload of employment tribunal matters, primarily for legal‑expenses insurers, while also gaining exposure to advisory and non‑contentious work for commercial clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of Employment Tribunal claims from start to finish
• Advise clients on potential employment disputes and litigation strategy
• Draft pleadings, witness statements and settlement agreements
• Negotiate settlements and instruct counsel where appropriate
• Provide employment law advice to insurer and commercial clients
• Assist with contracts of employment, staff handbooks and other advisory work
• Contribute to client training sessions, legal updates and business development initiatives

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEX) at NQ level
• Previous employment law experience, including experience gained during training or qualification
• Experience managing your own caseload
• Experience handling Employment Tribunal matters
• Strong drafting and communication skills
