Employment Solicitor – £60,000+ (DOE) – Exeter

About the role

We are looking for an ambitious Employment Solicitor to join our highly regarded Employment team in Exeter. The role offers the chance to work on a varied caseload, providing commercially‑focused advice to employers, senior executives and HR professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Advise employers on strategic and day‑to‑day employment matters.
• Handle complex workplace disputes and Employment Tribunal claims.
• Support clients with disciplinary, grievance and performance‑management issues.
• Draft and negotiate employment contracts, policies and settlement agreements.
• Provide employment law support on mergers, acquisitions and other corporate transactions.
• Deliver both contentious and non‑contentious advice across a broad range of employment matters.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) as an Employment Solicitor.
• Strong technical knowledge of employment law.
• Experience advising employers; experience with employee work is a plus.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Commercial, solutions‑focused approach.
• Ability to manage a varied workload with attention to detail.
• Confidence to take ownership and work collaboratively.
