Employment Specialist – Recruiter Transition Role

About the role

We are looking for a recruiter who wants to pivot into the employability and charity sector. As an IPS Employment Specialist you will support people with health conditions or disabilities to find and sustain work, working across community sites such as Job Centres, council offices and NHS trusts.

Key responsibilities

• Build relationships with job seekers, employers and clinical teams to create tailored employment pathways.
• Deliver one‑to‑one and group support sessions, helping clients develop CVs, interview skills and job search strategies.
• Coordinate with local Job Centres, council services and NHS Trusts to identify suitable vacancies.
• Track progress against individual targets and report outcomes to senior management.
• Participate in ongoing training, shadowing and team meetings to continuously improve service delivery.

Required profile

• Previous experience in recruitment, sales or B2B environments.
• Demonstrated ability to work with vulnerable or disadvantaged groups.
• Strong communication, influencing and relationship‑building skills.
• Motivation to make a tangible difference in people’s lives.
• Residence within reasonable distance of Brent, Barnet, Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham, Hillingdon, Harrow or Hounslow.

What we offer

• Permanent, full‑time contract (Monday‑Friday, 9am‑5pm) with a salary of £32,000‑£35,000.
