About the role

The Employment Tax Manager will lead the delivery of employment tax advisory services for a leading UK accountancy and advisory firm. You will work closely with a diverse client base, providing tailored tax solutions while ensuring full compliance with UK legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on employment tax matters across various sectors.
• Manage and oversee compliance with employment tax legislation and regulations.
• Lead the preparation and submission of employment tax returns and related documentation.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring their needs are met effectively.
• Offer strategic guidance on employment tax planning and risk management.
• Support and train team members to enhance their technical expertise.
• Collaborate with other departments to deliver comprehensive client solutions.
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and advise clients accordingly.

Required profile

• A recognised qualification in accountancy or tax (ACA, ACCA or CTA).
• Proven expertise in employment tax within the professional services industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK tax legislation and compliance requirements.
• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously with attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills for liaising with clients and internal teams.
• Proactive approach to staying informed about regulatory changes.
