EN4179 Level 2 Qualified NDT Inspector – Bristol

About the role

We are seeking an experienced EN4179 Level 2 qualified Non‑Destructive Testing (NDT) Inspector to join our team in Filton, Bristol. The role involves performing a range of inspections on aerospace components, both on‑site and at customer locations, ensuring compliance with strict quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out, interpret and report ultrasonic, radiographic, magnetic particle, dye penetrant and eddy‑current inspections on manufactured and in‑service components.
• Visit customer sites, including overnight assignments, to perform inspection work as required.
• Document test results in accordance with established procedures and maintain accurate personnel records for qualification renewal.
• Support the sales team with technical discussions and act as the primary contact for customers with ongoing inspection needs.
• Undertake additional duties as defined in the role specification, including occasional shift work.

Required profile

• EN4179 Level 2 (or Level 3) certification in one or more NDT methods (UT, PT, ET, RT, MT).
• Documented experience hours across all listed NDT techniques, preferably in aerospace or aircraft environments.
• Experience inspecting metallic and composite components, both in‑service and during manufacturing.
• Ability to work independently, demonstrate resilience, and collaborate effectively within a team.
• Valid UK driving licence (Class B) and willingness to obtain UK SC security clearance.

• Radiographic Testing (RT) – film and non‑film.
• Magnetic Particle Testing (MT).
• Dye Penetrant Testing (PT).
• Eddy‑Current Testing (ET) – conventional, array desirable.
