Enabling Support Worker – Community Care

About the role
Shaftesbury is seeking an Enabling Support Worker to provide person‑centred care for individuals in Somerset. You will work closely with service users, following their support plans and encouraging independence.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver daily support and encouragement based on the person‑centred support plan.
- Maintain accurate records of activities, care provided and observations.
- Administer personal care and medication where required.
- Cover sleep‑in sessions and receive an additional £60 per sleep‑in.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure a safe, inclusive environment.
Required profile
- Passionate about supporting people with disabilities and promoting inclusion.
- Reliable, compassionate and able to follow direction from service users and supervisors.
- Comfortable with record‑keeping and adhering to service requirements.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including sleep‑in shifts.
Required skills
What we offer
- £12.95 per hour (40‑hour week) with additional £60 per sleep‑in.
- £500 bonus after 12 months of continuous employment.
- Birthday day off (taken from annual entitlement).
