End User Support Engineer (12‑month FTC)

About the role

The End User Support Engineer will join CMC Markets' IT team in London, providing first‑ and second‑line support to internal users. Working closely with colleagues in Sydney and London, you will help ensure that laptops, desktops and video‑conferencing equipment are ready for use and that staff receive timely assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver 1st and 2nd line support to the internal customer base, handling incidents and service requests.
• Build, configure and deploy laptops and desktops for new and existing staff.
• Manage the flow of work into the team, taking ownership of issues and escalating to 3rd line when required.
• Provide onboarding support for new hires and off‑boarding for leavers.
• Offer AV support for video‑conferencing suites and assist remote users.
• Maintain clear communication with users, setting expectations and providing regular updates.
• Continuously improve support processes, turning reactive handling into proactive service delivery.
• Document incidents and problems for later analysis and compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in an internal IT support environment, preferably within a fast‑paced financial services organisation.
• Ability to think on your feet, handle multiple tasks simultaneously and support a geographically dispersed team.
• Strong customer‑service mindset with a positive, solution‑focused attitude.
• Commitment to personal and professional development, including relevant regulatory training.
