Endpoint Automation Engineer – Defence

About the role

We are looking for an Endpoint Automation Engineer to design, build and maintain secure endpoint platforms for a high‑profile Defence environment. You will join a collaborative team in Gloucester, delivering hardware and software solutions, automation and continuous‑delivery pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate, integrate, deploy and administer hardware and software across user devices, print and scan platforms.
• Create clear technical documentation for proposals, implementations and operations.
• Provide third‑line support, resolve incidents and fulfil requests within SLA using agile tools such as Jira.
• Develop automation solutions with PowerShell, Python and Ansible.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test and deployment.
• Implement monitoring, alerting and automated remediation to improve platform reliability.

Required profile

• Current eDV security clearance.
• Strong experience with Microsoft configuration management tools (SCCM, SCOM, SCORCH).
• Knowledge of anti‑malware, thin‑client and VDI solutions.
• Understanding of user profile/access management, vulnerability management and print/scan services.
• Advanced skills with Windows 11 and Windows Server 2025.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
