Endpoint Engineer – Automation & Secure Platforms

About the role

Join Sopra Steria’s Endpoint Engineering team in Gloucester and help shape best‑in‑class, secure endpoint platforms for a highly regulated Defence environment. You will work alongside engineers who champion high‑quality design, automated testing, secure‑by‑design principles and modern engineering practices.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate, integrate, deploy and test hardware and software across user devices, print and scan platforms.
• Produce clear technical documentation for proposals, implementations and ongoing operations.
• Provide third‑line support, resolve incidents and fulfil requests in line with SLAs using agile tools such as Jira.
• Develop automation solutions with PowerShell, Python and Ansible.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test and deployment.
• Implement monitoring, alerting and automated remediation to improve platform reliability.

Required profile

• Strong experience with Microsoft Configuration Management tools (SCCM, SCOM, SCORCH).
• Knowledge of anti‑malware technologies and experience with thin‑client/VDI solutions.
• Understanding of user profile and access management, vulnerability management and print/scan services.
• Advanced skills in Windows 11 and Windows Server 2025 environments.
• Proven ability to work in Agile delivery settings and hold eDV clearance.
