Energy Centre Manager - East London

About the role

E.ON UK is seeking an Energy Centre Manager for its East London sites. The role will lead the planning, operation and maintenance of heat, chill and power assets, ensuring safe, efficient and cost‑effective delivery to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Provide visible Health & Safety leadership and ensure compliance across sites.
• Manage a team of Energy Centre Engineers, driving performance, development and a collaborative culture.
• Ensure reliable delivery of heat, chill and power to customers.
• Take overall financial responsibility for sites, meeting agreed budget targets.
• Oversee efficient operation of assets and control costs.
• Develop and implement medium‑to‑long‑term operations and maintenance strategies, maintaining technical governance and risk management.
• Deliver planned and unplanned maintenance activities.
• Manage maintenance contracts and optimise contractor performance.
• Analyse plant issues, obtain technical advice and make informed decisions.
• Lead innovative maintenance delivery while adhering to E.ON standards and policies.

Required profile

• HND/HNC in Mechanical or Electrical engineering or equivalent, or demonstrable significant experience.
• IOSH or equivalent health & safety qualification (minimum).
• Authorised Engineer status.
• Knowledge of district heating and Combined Heat and Power (CHP) systems.
• Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams.
• Experience in contract and maintenance management.
