Energy Manager – Rail Infrastructure

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Energy Manager to support a major UK rail infrastructure organisation. The role will drive the delivery and continuous improvement of the energy management strategy across a large operational route.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver and continuously improve the Energy Management Plan.
• Monitor, analyse and report on energy usage, identifying efficiency opportunities.
• Implement and maintain an Energy Management System aligned to BS EN ISO 50001.
• Conduct energy audits and develop business cases for efficiency projects.
• Coordinate energy reduction programmes and provide energy management training.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote best practice and ensure regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience implementing and maintaining BS EN ISO 50001 Energy Management Systems.
• Demonstrated track record in energy management with measurable results.
• Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP) qualification.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience designing training packages and managing projects.
