Engagement Officer

About the role

The Engagement Officer will join the Public Affairs, Advocacy and Campaigns team to build and sustain relationships with global stakeholders. Working from a hybrid base in Devon, you will help the charity address threats to donkeys and other working animals worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain partnerships with governmental, non‑governmental and educational organisations.
• Coordinate coalition and alliance activities, including international events and meetings.
• Produce briefing materials and reports that support the charity’s influencing agenda.
• Support strategic planning for external events and manage horizon‑scanning of engagement opportunities.
• Oversee accreditation and reporting processes to maintain institutional access.

Required profile

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt style to diverse audiences.
• Proven experience organising events for international audiences.
• Strong analytical ability and experience drafting strategic responses.
• Highly organised with strong coordination capabilities.
