Engineering Auditor – ISO9001/AS9100 (Remote, Defence)

About the role

We are seeking an Engineering Auditor with ISO9001/AS9100 expertise to support a leading UK defence and engineering organisation. The position is fully remote with occasional site visits to audit suppliers and ensure compliance with MoD and defence standards.

Key responsibilities

• Audit suppliers on‑site to verify compliance with contractual and quality requirements.
• Approve supplier documentation such as Inspection & Test Plans and oversee special process approvals.
• Lead investigations into non‑conformances, identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Drive lean and continuous‑improvement initiatives with suppliers to optimise quality, cost, delivery and schedule performance.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to maintain product conformity throughout the lifecycle.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Engineering Auditor with ISO9001 or AS9100 certification.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Security Clearance.
• Willingness to work remotely with occasional travel to supplier sites.
