Engineering Lead

About the role

The Engineering Lead will guide a cross‑functional squad to deliver secure, reliable and scalable software. This hands‑on technical leader combines senior engineering expertise with team‑enabling responsibilities, working closely with Product, Architecture and Site Reliability Engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the squad in delivering high‑quality, cloud‑native services while adhering to secure‑by‑design principles.
• Own day‑to‑day technical direction, ensuring alignment with architectural patterns and the overall technical strategy.
• Break down complex requirements into actionable tasks, support backlog refinement and drive predictable Agile delivery.
• Conduct code reviews, lead design discussions and set standards for code quality, testing and documentation.
• Contribute actively to the codebase, troubleshoot incidents and perform root‑cause analysis.
• Support the Engineering Manager in scaling engineering excellence across multiple squads.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a senior engineer or technical lead in a software development environment.
• Strong understanding of secure, reliable and scalable architecture, especially in cloud‑native contexts.
• Ability to mentor and enable a team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical craftsmanship.
• Experience with Agile and Scrum practices and a track record of delivering predictable releases.
