Engineering Lecturer – Further Education (Full‑Time/Temporary)

About the role

We are seeking experienced and enthusiastic Engineering Lecturers to deliver high‑quality teaching for a range of Further Education providers in Liverpool. You will inspire learners pursuing careers in engineering and manufacturing, helping them develop both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Engineering lessons.
• Teach Engineering programmes to learners of varying levels and abilities.
• Assess, monitor and track student progress.
• Provide constructive feedback and academic support.
• Maintain accurate records in line with college requirements.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Support learners in developing practical, industry‑relevant engineering skills.
• Ensure all practical activities comply with health and safety regulations.
• Contribute to learner achievement, retention and progression.

Required profile

• Relevant degree or qualification in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training, or equivalent).
• Experience teaching Engineering in Further Education, Higher Education, Secondary Education or Adult Learning.
• Strong classroom management and communication abilities.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Ability to engage and motivate learners of varying abilities.
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for engineering education.
• Desirable industry experience in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Civil, Aerospace, Automotive or General Engineering sectors.
