Engineering Lecturer – Further Education

About the role

We are seeking experienced and enthusiastic Engineering Lecturers to deliver high‑quality teaching for a range of Further Education providers in North London. This role offers the chance to shape the technical knowledge and practical skills of learners pursuing careers in engineering and manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging engineering lessons across multiple levels.
• Assess, monitor and record student progress in line with college requirements.
• Provide constructive feedback and academic support to help learners achieve their goals.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.
• Ensure all practical activities comply with health and safety regulations.
• Contribute to learner retention, achievement and progression.

Required profile

• Relevant degree or qualification in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training, or equivalent).
• Experience teaching Engineering in Further Education, Higher Education, Secondary Education or Adult Learning.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Ability to engage and motivate learners of varying abilities.
