Engineering Lecturer – General Engineering (Full‑time)

About the role

We are looking for a full‑time Engineering Lecturer to join an FE college group on the Hampshire coast. The successful candidate will deliver core technical training to learners developing engineering and manufacturing skills.

Key responsibilities

• Teach and assess students in classroom, tutorial and practical engineering settings.
• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons covering mechanical, electrical and manufacturing engineering fundamentals.
• Act as a Personal Tutor, providing academic guidance, pastoral support and monitoring student progress.
• Support college initiatives such as employer engagement, student placements and recruitment events.
• Contribute to course design, quality assurance reviews and the development of schemes of work.

Required profile

• Relevant engineering qualification (degree and/or extensive professional experience).
• Solid industry background in general, mechanical, electrical or manufacturing engineering.
• Recognised teaching qualification or willingness to obtain one with full college support.
• Strong organisational, communication and teamwork abilities.
