Engineering Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead our engineering function for a growing UK manufacturer that delivers bespoke engineered solutions across industrial sectors. This hands‑on leadership role will guide product development, ensure innovative designs reach production, and work closely with manufacturing and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a multi‑disciplinary engineering team.
• Oversee the design and development of bespoke engineered products.
• Manage engineering priorities across multiple projects.
• Ensure designs are practical, compliant, and ready for manufacture.
• Provide technical guidance throughout build, testing and delivery phases.
• Collaborate closely with production and project teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve quality, performance and efficiency.

Required profile

• HVAC / Refrigeration experience is essential.
• Background in manufacturing, engineering or industrial environments.
• Strong understanding of product design and engineering delivery.
• Ability to balance technical requirements with commercial and operational priorities.
• Proactive approach with a passion for continuous improvement.
