Engineering Manager

About the role

Capsa AI is building an AI Operating System for private capital funds and is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead three engineering squads (Intelligence, Experience, Platform). You will own hiring, coaching, and performance management while shaping technical leadership across the teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage engineers across three squads, own hiring and people development, and strengthen technical leadership.
• Partner with product managers and technical leads to translate company priorities into clear objectives and delivery plans.
• Ensure engineering capability, quality of work, and delivery against commitments, making capacity, dependencies, and risks visible.
• Resolve obstacles, work with the CTO and Product when priorities, scope, or timing change, and share responsibility for outcomes.
• Establish regular coaching, clear expectations, and technical ownership within each squad.

Required profile

• Managed engineers directly for several years, with prior experience as an individual contributor at a venture‑backed startup or a serious tech company.
• Coordinated work across multiple teams or parallel workstreams, handling dependencies and competing demands.
• Hired, developed, and shaped team structures as the organization scaled.
• Shipped distributed systems, data pipelines, or platform services to production.
• Comfortable operating at pace with incomplete information and making progress despite uncertainty.
