Engineering Manager – Lead Product Squad

About the role

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead one of our product engineering squads, reporting to an Engineering Director. You will build a psychologically safe, high‑performing team that delivers scalable, secure platform capabilities as Seccl expands across the UK and Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Build, lead and develop an inclusive, high‑performing engineering squad.
• Own delivery health from planning through production readiness, reliability and maintainability.
• Partner with product managers to align work with customer, commercial, regulatory and platform priorities.
• Guide technical decisions to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, resilient and well integrated.
• Recruit, onboard and mentor engineers while contributing to shared engineering practices.

Required profile

• Experienced engineering manager who has led teams in complex product or technology domains.
• Strong track record of hiring, onboarding, coaching and developing engineers.
• Ability to balance people leadership with delivery accountability while staying technically credible.
• Experience in financial services, fintech or other regulated environments is valuable.

What we offer

• Salary £95,000‑£110,000 per year, reviewed annually.
• Hybrid work – at least one day per week in the London, Bath or Edinburgh office.
