Engineering Manager – Leeds

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Design Office in Leeds. You will oversee mechanical, electrical and software engineering activities, ensuring solutions meet business goals, customer needs and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage multidisciplinary engineering teams across mechanical, electrical and software domains.
• Allocate resources, manage workloads and prioritize projects to meet timelines.
• Drive continuous product improvement and new product development.
• Provide technical oversight for proposals, product modifications, upgrades and lifecycle support.
• Develop and implement engineering strategy, skills development plans and recruitment.
• Oversee configuration management, design control and change management processes.
• Maintain effective communication with other functional departments and attend customer sites as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing engineering teams in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong leadership and strategic planning abilities.
• Excellent understanding of cost, delivery, performance and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work collaboratively with sales, production and quality functions.
