Perk is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a team of software engineers in London. You will be accountable for delivering high‑quality features while fostering the personal growth of each team member. The role blends technical leadership with people development in a fast‑moving, AI‑enhanced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own delivery and personal development of a team of 8‑10 engineers, acting as a servant leader.
• Champion technical excellence, ensuring the team has the context and time to build scalable, high‑performance systems.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to define long‑term strategy and roadmap aligned with the tribe mission.
• Drive recruitment, onboarding, and performance reviews to build a high‑performing engineering culture.
• Leverage AI‑augmented workflows (Notion, Jira, GitHub, Slack) to accelerate development and reduce shadow work.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing 8‑10 software engineers and building effective engineering processes.
• Technical background as a hands‑on software engineer with a strong understanding of how engineering impacts product and business.
• Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and run performance reviews that align individual aspirations with business needs.
• Pragmatic, obsessed with simplicity, efficiency, and performance in fast‑changing environments.
• Interest or experience in AI‑driven development and agentic coding workflows.
