Engineering Manager – Sustainable Marine Technology

About the role

We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team developing cutting‑edge marine technology that protects wildlife. The role combines hands‑on technical involvement with strategic leadership, guiding projects from concept through to production.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop engineers across electronics, mechanical and firmware disciplines.
• Manage product development projects from initial concept, through prototyping and testing, to manufacturing.
• Improve engineering processes, documentation and quality standards.
• Oversee resource allocation, budgets and relationships with external suppliers.
• Collaborate with marine biologists, operations and commercial teams to deliver environmentally‑focused solutions.
• Recruit new talent and support the growth of the engineering function.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong track record delivering complex electro‑mechanical products.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to balance hands‑on technical work with strategic planning.
