Engineering Supervisor – High‑End Commercial Site

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Engineering Supervisor to lead the technical team on a premier commercial property in Central London. This hands‑on position blends senior engineering expertise with day‑to‑day management of a resident maintenance crew and client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and mentor a multi‑skilled team of maintenance engineers, overseeing Planned Preventative Maintenance and reactive tasks.
• Maintain plant rooms, tools and technical spaces to showroom‑standard condition.
• Manage specialist subcontractors, review RAMS and issue Permits to Work.
• Keep statutory logbooks (Water Hygiene/L8, Emergency Lighting, Fire Safety) audit‑ready.
• Allocate, track and close maintenance jobs via the digital CAFM platform.
• Ensure Safe Systems of Work are robust and followed across the asset.
• Build trusted relationships with building management and corporate tenants, acting as the primary escalation point.
• Identify lifecycle risks and scope small improvement projects, providing quotes.

Required profile

• Level 3 Electrical qualification or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Lead Engineer, Shift Leader or Technical Supervisor on high‑spec commercial sites.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in the quality of work.

Required skills

• Electrical systems knowledge.
• CAFM platform usage.
• RAMS preparation and review.
