Engineering Supervisor – Luxury Hotel

About the role

Jumeirah Carlton Tower is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to lead the hotel’s engineering team. The role oversees daily activities of team leaders and staff, ensuring operations run smoothly and meet Jumeirah standards. You will also support the implementation of the Jumeirah Engineering Management System (JEMS).

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of all team leaders and subordinates within the engineering department.
• Monitor and inspect completed repair and maintenance works to ensure they meet required standards.
• Assist in implementing, coordinating and monitoring JEMS, including fire safety, life safety, preventive maintenance and work order systems.
• Address grievances, suggestions and complaints from colleagues, escalating to the Director of Engineering or Chief Engineer as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all Engineering Department policies, processes and procedures.

Required profile

• Proven stakeholder management skills, working effectively with internal teams, guests, contractors and suppliers.
• NVQ or City & Guilds qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or related engineering discipline, plus IOSH or equivalent health and safety certification.
• Strong leadership, team management and project delivery experience.
• Creative problem‑solving ability with high attention to detail.
