Engineering Team Lead – AI Platform (London)

About the role

Savanta is seeking an experienced Engineering Team Lead to head an agile team building a cutting‑edge AI platform for market research. The role focuses on the Virtual Personas solution, a synthetic persona product powered by large language models.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a cross‑functional agile team of up to four engineers delivering the Virtual Personas AI product.
• Own full‑stack development using Python/FastAPI services and React/TypeScript front‑ends.
• Set technical direction, drive cloud‑first adoption on Azure and manage PostgreSQL, MongoDB and Redis data stores.
• Champion responsible use of LLMs, including prompt‑injection safeguards and data protection.
• Mentor team members, conduct 1‑2‑1s and define development plans.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading agile teams building and scaling AI/LLM‑powered products.
• Strong background in Python and modern async web frameworks.
• Hands‑on experience with LLM orchestration tools such as LangChain or LangGraph.
• Solid knowledge of relational (PostgreSQL) and document (MongoDB) databases, plus caching (Redis).
• Ability to work in a fast‑moving, ambiguous environment and guide architectural decisions.
