Engineering Trainer Assessor (Full Training Available)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced engineering professional to transition into a training and assessing role, supporting apprentices through their qualifications. Full training into teaching will be provided, allowing you to shape the next generation of engineers while working across employer sites and college settings.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of engineering apprentices and guide them to successful completion.
• Deliver coaching, training and on‑site assessments of competence and knowledge.
• Conduct progress reviews with learners and employers, setting targets and timelines.
• Prepare apprentices for gateway and end‑point assessments.
• Build and maintain relationships with learners, employers and training providers.

Required profile

• Level 3 engineering qualification (or equivalent vocational qualification).
• Strong hands‑on engineering experience and understanding of workplace standards.
• Assessor qualification (TAQA, A1, CAVA) or willingness to obtain one.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites in the Cambridge area.
