English Lecturer (0.5‑1 FTE)

About the role

Join a community‑focused FE college in Kings Lynn as an English Lecturer, delivering Functional Skills and GCSE English to a diverse learner base. You will work either part‑time (18.5‑30 hrs) or full‑time, helping students build confidence and competence in English for both academic and everyday contexts.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver Functional Skills and GCSE English lessons.
• Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Support learners who may be anxious about their abilities.
• Collaborate with the English team to develop engaging resources.
• Participate in flexible working arrangements, including job‑share where appropriate.

Required profile

• Passion for high‑quality teaching and learner development.
• Relevant teaching qualifications (Level 5 or above preferred).
• Experience in delivering English education in a further‑education setting is desirable.
• Commitment to inclusive, student‑centred learning.
