About the role
Reed Education is seeking an English Teacher for daily or long‑term supply work in Eastbourne, South East England. The role starts immediately and is ideal for teachers experienced with the UK secondary English curriculum.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging English lessons for KS3 and KS4 students.
- Assess and track student progress, adapting methods to individual needs.
- Create a positive, inclusive learning environment that supports well‑being.
- Participate in staff meetings, parent evenings and school events as required.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers to enhance the curriculum.
Required profile
- Valid teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS or QTLS).
- Proven experience teaching English at secondary level (KS3/KS4).
- Strong classroom management and communication abilities.
- Current DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
