About the role
Reed Education is looking for a dynamic English Teacher to join a school in Lancaster on a full‑time basis, starting in September. The role offers a day rate of £168‑£232 and the chance to work across several schools within the region.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 pupils.
- Utilise strong subject knowledge to enhance learning and maintain high student motivation.
- Implement effective classroom management strategies to create a positive learning environment.
- Assess, monitor and report on student progress regularly.
- Adapt teaching methods and resources to meet the diverse needs and interests of learners.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
- Recent experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4; KS5 experience is an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to manage classrooms and deliver robust subject content.
- Reliable, punctual and committed to safeguarding and student welfare.
- Strong interpersonal skills, compassion and the ability to listen to and support children.
