English Teacher – Full‑time, Andover

About the role

Prospero Teaching is partnering with a welcoming secondary school in Andover, Hampshire, to recruit a passionate English Teacher. The role involves delivering engaging English lessons, supporting the school’s inclusive ethos, and contributing to a positive pastoral environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver curriculum‑aligned English lessons for secondary students.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Participate in parent evenings, department meetings and pastoral activities.
• Maintain a safe, supportive classroom in line with safeguarding policies.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall school culture.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of English teaching experience in the UK.
• Up‑to‑date safeguarding training (issued within the last year).
• Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
• Two professional references covering the last two years.
