English Teacher – Full‑time, East London

About the role
We are seeking a passionate English Teacher to join a supportive school in East London. The role is full‑time and starts as soon as possible, delivering KS3 and KS4 English with the possibility to teach KS5.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
- Assess, track and report student progress.
- Create a positive, inclusive and well‑managed classroom environment.
- Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning.
- Support students of varying abilities to achieve their full potential.
- Participate in school events, meetings and professional development activities.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Degree in English or a related subject.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students.
- Commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.
Required skills
- English language teaching.
