About the role
We are partnering with an Ofsted‑rated ‘Good’ secondary school in North Cambridgeshire to hire an enthusiastic English Teacher for a full‑time, long‑term role starting September 2026. The successful candidate will join a supportive school community focused on high standards of learning and personal development.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging English lessons for Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Plan, prepare and assess pupil work in line with the national curriculum.
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
- Inspire students to develop literacy skills and a love for English.
- Collaborate with colleagues to monitor and support pupil progress.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable but not essential.
- Recent UK secondary school teaching experience, especially in English.
- Strong subject knowledge and effective classroom management.
- Ability to motivate learners of varying abilities.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
