English Teacher – Full‑Time, Long‑Term (North Cambridgeshire)

About the role

We are partnering with an Ofsted‑rated ‘Good’ secondary school in North Cambridgeshire to hire an enthusiastic English Teacher for a full‑time, long‑term position starting September 2026. You will join a supportive school community with strong leadership and a commitment to student and staff development.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging English lessons for Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Plan, prepare and assess pupils’ work in line with the curriculum.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
• Inspire students to develop literacy skills and a love for English.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support pupil progress.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable but not essential; recent UK secondary teaching experience will be considered.
• Strong subject knowledge of English and effective classroom‑management techniques.
• Ability to motivate learners of varying abilities.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare.
