About the role

We are looking for a qualified English Teacher to join a secondary school in Hertfordshire on a full‑time, long‑term basis. You will inspire students to develop strong literacy, reading and writing skills while supporting the school’s academic goals.

Key responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging English lessons for secondary students.
Develop students’ reading, writing and critical‑thinking abilities.
Assess and monitor student progress and provide feedback.
Collaborate with fellow English teachers and other staff.
Support exam preparation and overall school academic targets.

Required profile

QTS or QTLS certification.
PGCE or equivalent qualification (NQTs welcome).
Passion for teaching English.
Strong communication and classroom management skills.
