English Teacher – KS3 & KS4 (Daily Supply)

About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic English Teacher to join a secondary school in Hastings on a daily supply basis. The role can be short‑term or extend into a longer placement, providing immediate classroom support for KS3 and KS4 pupils.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging English lessons for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Assess student progress, record marks and adapt teaching strategies to individual needs.
- Create a positive, inclusive learning environment that promotes well‑being.
- Participate in staff meetings, parent evenings and school events as required.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers to enhance the curriculum.
Required profile
- Valid teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS or QTLS).
- Proven experience teaching English at secondary level.
- Strong classroom management and communication abilities.
- Current DBS clearance or willingness to obtain one.
